Part-time Caregiver

Job Summary

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect client confidentiality.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to promote proper nutrition.
• Support clients with medication administration following prescribed care plans and ensure adherence to safety protocols like first aid and CPR when necessary.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in social activities or conversations to foster mental well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
• Assist with transportation needs including personal transportation assistance for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe patient transfers using appropriate techniques.
