In-Home Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes, and reporting findings accurately
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
• Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy standards
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to ensure safe transfers and mobility
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and social engagement

Requirements

• Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable
• Knowledge of patient observation, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are a plus for travel between client homes
