Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Companion Sitter/Caregiver to provide exceptional support and companionship to individuals in various care settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and nursing homes. This vital role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for those with diverse needs, including seniors, veterans, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or other health conditions. The ideal candidate will bring energy, empathy, and a proactive approach to caregiving while ensuring safety and comfort at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Support daily routines, mobility, and overall well-being
• Provide reminders for self-administered medications
• Observe and report changes in client condition to supervisors
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
• Promote a safe, clean, and supportive environment for each client
• Communicate availability and schedule updates as required
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards

Qualifications

Required

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background check and required screenings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Hiring for All Shifts

Preferred

• 6–12 months of caregiving or related experience
• CNA or healthcare-related training
• Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
