Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant

Now Hiring: Caregivers with Flexible Availability on the Westbank, Metairie and Surrounding New Orleans Areas

Egan At Home established in 1988 is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home support clients throughout the Greater New Orleans area. We are looking for caregivers with flexible availability who can work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and on-call weekends.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Provide toileting and incontinence assistance
• Assist with walking, transfers, and fall-prevention measures
• Prepare meals and encourage proper hydration
• Provide medication reminders
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes
• Offer companionship, protective oversight, and routine support
• Assist with errands and transportation when authorized
• Follow each client’s individualized care plan
• Document completed services and promptly report changes or concerns
• Maintain professional communication with clients, families, and office staff

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
• 2 years prior experience required in professional caregiving, personal-care, senior-care, home-care, or healthcare experience required
• Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and personal-care needs
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Valid Car Insurance a plus
• Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings
• Willingness to follow company policies, care plans, and professional boundaries
• Flexible availability is strongly preferred.
