Caregiver

Purpose Of Life Homecare is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional caregivers to provide high-quality, non-medical in-home care to seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Caregivers assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, mobility assistance, companionship, transportation, and medication reminders. Our caregivers play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while remaining safely in their own homes.

The ideal candidate is caring, patient, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional service while treating every client with respect and compassion. Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required, as training may be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and fall prevention.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Provide medication reminders (no medication administration unless authorized).
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition to the care team.
• Maintain accurate daily care documentation.
• Follow all HIPAA, infection control, and company policies.
• Deliver care with dignity, respect, professionalism, and compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous caregiving, CNA, HHA, DSP, or home care experience preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (preferred).
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
