Caregiver / Resident Care Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver/Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to join our team at a 38-bed assisted living facility. The RCA provides direct care and daily support to residents, helping to maintain their independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

This role is essential in creating a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for our residents while collaborating with the broader care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility
• Respond promptly and respectfully to resident requests for assistance
• Ensure residents’ living spaces are clean, safe, and comfortable
• Accurately document care and services provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Follow all infection control, safety, and emergency protocols
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, families, and team members to deliver high-quality care
• Promote resident independence, dignity, and quality of life

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or caregiving preferred
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, and team members
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented attitude

Work Environment

• Fast-paced, resident-centered care setting
• Requires standing, walking, lifting, and assisting residents throughout shifts

Schedule Details

• Full-time day position
• Includes every other weekend rotation
• Includes holiday rotation

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
