Position Summary

Job Overview

Join our supportive team as a Part-Time Respite Provider/Caregiver in a home- and community-based setting. We provide services to toddlers through elderly clients, with opportunities available throughout Madison, Waunakee, Sun Prairie, Fitchburg, Mt. Horeb, and Cottage Grove.

In this role, you will provide compassionate, individualized care and support to clients with developmental disabilities, autism, and other support needs. As a Respite Provider, you will help create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment that promotes independence, confidence, and overall well-being. This is a paid, part-time position that offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, individualized support, and positive engagement for clients.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care, hygiene, dressing, and daily routines, as needed.
• Encourage independence, social development, life skills, and healthy habits.
• Support clients with developmental disabilities, autism, cognitive disabilities, or other individualized support needs.
• Prepare or assist with meals and snacks while following dietary guidelines and restrictions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and structured environment.
• Observe, document, and communicate client progress, concerns, and care activities to supervisors and families.
• Follow all individualized care plans, agency policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, adults, or elderly individuals in caregiving, healthcare, education, or human services is preferred.
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with clients of all ages.
