Job Description

Gentle Home LLC is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide in-home care to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and clients requiring memory or dementia care. The goal is to help clients remain safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
• Bathing
• Dressing
• Grooming
• Toileting
• Mobility and transfers
• Monitor and report changes in clients' physical, emotional, or mental condition.
• Take and document vital signs when appropriate.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Follow individualized care plans.
• Accurately document care provided.
• Support clients with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia when assigned.
• Communicate effectively with family members and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island CNA certification (or HHA certification if applying as an HHA).
• Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered.
• Experience with memory care is a plus.

This position is focused on providing one-on-one care in clients' homes, emphasizing personal care, companionship, safety, and helping clients maintain their independence.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
