Job Summary

Please accept this invitation to join the Bethany Home team. We are currently seeking candidates for a 2nd shift CNA position.

Our team provides compassionate care to elderly people who need assistance in managing their health care needs. We provide several levels of care from independent living to nursing care, skilled nursing care and memory care. These opportunities are in the nursing care and memory care units.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the highest quality of care, with kindness and compassion, to each resident
• Provide personal care and supervision to residents according to their individual care plan
• Assist residents with ambulation, transfers, and repositioning
• Monitor vital signs
• Report observations or changes to the charge nurse
• Follow proper infection control guidelines and PPE usage
• Maintain current certification by attending and participating in training and education classes including monthly online in-services
• Engage with residents in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being

Requirements

• Current Iowa nursing assistant certification
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Ability to use a computer and other office equipment
• Ability to stand and walk the entire shift
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently without assistance
• Ability to lift residents frequently with assistance
• Ability to assist in evacuation of residents during emergency situations
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting and perform other common physical movements
