Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Provide compassionate care tailored to residents with dementia or memory care needs, employing behavior management techniques to promote comfort and safety
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining personal hygiene routines
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met
• Document care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams about resident status

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent direct care credential
• Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments preferred
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and memory care best practices
• Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with empathy and professionalism
• Familiarity with vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic health monitoring techniques
