Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong desire to assist clients with daily living activities. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those you care for, including seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Monitor and document vital signs and report any changes in the client’s condition to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medication management.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe living environment.
• Assist clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Provide specialized care for clients with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance caregiving skills.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is beneficial.
• Certification in CPR and basic first aid is required.
• Ability to perform catheter care and assist with hospice care as needed.
• Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
