Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Support residents with medication administration
• Implement specialized care plans for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions
• Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to foster mental and emotional well-being
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident spaces and maintaining a hygienic environment
• Use manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury
• Drive residents to appointments or community outings when required, ensuring safety during transportation
• Respond promptly to emergencies with first aid or CPR when necessary, adhering to safety protocols
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each resident’s needs

• Familiarity with assisting residents with ADLs, medication administration, and behavior management strategies for dementia or memory care patients
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment; capable of heavy lifting when required
