Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human physiology and anatomy, as well as experience in various care settings such as long-term care, inpatient facilities, pediatrics, or assisted living environments. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to the supervising nurse or caregiver.
• Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Support clients in engaging in social activities and community involvement.

Requirements

• Knowledge of physiology and anatomy is preferred.
• Experience in long-term care, medical-surgical settings, inpatient facilities, pediatrics, home community care, behavioral health, or assisted living is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals accurately.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
