Companion and caregiver

Job Overview

As a Companion and Caregiver, you’ll provide attentive, respectful support that helps clients maintain comfort, dignity, and daily routines at home or in a care setting. You’ll offer companionship, assist with personal care and everyday tasks, and communicate changes in a client’s condition to the appropriate care team. Your impact: By observing clients closely and following their care plans, you help clients and their families feel supported and informed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and patient personal care.
• Prepare meals, cook, perform light cleaning, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Monitor clients, observe and report changes, and support care plans, vital signs checks, and medication administration when authorized.
• Use safe manual handling, patient transfer methods, and equipment such as a Hoyer lift when trained and appropriate.
• Provide companionship and direct support while respecting privacy, client communication preferences, and residents’ rights.

Experience

Must know Hindi language

Must know driving

Must have educational background

Caregiving, patient care, home care, home health, or home and community care experience is relevant; experience in assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, or long-term care is valued.

• Experience with senior care, geriatrics, hospice, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or memory care is helpful.
• Experience supporting people with autism, developmental or intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other disabilities is welcome.
• Knowledge of patient observation and monitoring, HIPAA , first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is preferred.
• Nursing experience and familiarity with heavy lifting or patient transfer techniques are useful; follow applicable training and care instructions.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
