Companion Caregiver for Young Adult Female (Saturdays or Sundays 12pm-5/6pm)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Companion Caregiver to provide dedicated support for a young adult female in her home, but mostly out in the community. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building meaningful connections and delivering personalized care to enhance independence and quality of life. The caregiver will focus on companionship, assisting with daily activities, help with errands, grooming reminders. go to the YMCA, take walks, get the client active and out in the Community and ensuring a safe, engaging environment on Saturdays either/or Sundays 12pm-5pm. Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to the young adult, fostering a positive and engaging environment
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, shopping, and scheduling activities for the Client to engage in the Community.
• Support with meal preparation, cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs
• Maintain cleanliness of the living space through light cleaning and organization.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with Individuals with Special Needs preferred
• Caregiver should be out going and have a positive/encouraging attitude.
• Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and patience when working with individuals requiring specialized support
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
• A valid certification in CPR is mandatory; and training can be provided if necessary
