Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals that meet dietary guidelines and individual resident preferences, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Plan menus in collaboration with dietitians and management, incorporating balanced nutrition and appealing presentation.
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Handle food production tasks such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling with precision and care.
• Assist with food service operations, including plating, serving residents, and maintaining proper food temperatures.
• Manage high-volume food preparation efficiently during peak meal times while maintaining attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate records of food inventory, storage conditions, and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Experience

• Prior experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or assisted living settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant environments, showcasing strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and catering.
