Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Support individuals in social skills development, communication (including American Sign Language if applicable), and community participation.
• Collect and document data related to progress, behavior patterns, and health status to inform care plans.
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and maintain detailed medication records.
• Drive clients to appointments, activities, or community outings safely and responsibly.
• Collaborate with families, behavioral health professionals, educators, and social workers to develop personalized care plans that meet each individual’s unique needs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management techniques.
