Home Health Aide

Duties

• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) .
• Monitor patient health by observing and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals
• Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation standards
• Provide specialized care for patients with Mental disabilities.
• Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with home healthcare regulations and HIPAA privacy standards
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry to promote a safe living environment.
• Engage in patient observation to detect potential health issues early and ensure safety during activities or outings

Requirements

• Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, CPR and basic life support certifications required or obtainable upon hire
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or geriatrics highly desirable
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
• Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and home health documentation practices
