Responsibilities

• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Perform patient observation to detect changes in condition or behavior, especially for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
• Provide specialized care for patients with developmental disabilities, hospice needs, or memory care requirements.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding while adhering to dietary restrictions and safety standards.
• Conduct light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
• Support clients with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts and assistive devices to promote safety during transfers and movement.

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease is advantageous.
• Proven ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring long-term care support is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and medical documentation standards including HIPAA regulations.
