Experienced Autism Caregiver Needed — One Evening/Week (Date Night Respite)

We're looking for a calm, confident, and deeply experienced caregiver for our young adult son (moderate-to-severe autism), starting at one evening per week with strong potential for additional hours as trust and rapport are built.

Job Description

Handle the evening routine — dinner, activities, hygiene, bedtime.

Candidate requirements

· Minimum 5 years of direct, hands-on experience with autism-related behaviors (meltdowns, nonverbal communication, sensory dysregulation, self-injurious behavior).

· Previous work experience in ABA, RBT/BCBA work, or residential care for autistic adults, strongly preferred.

· Familiarity with behavioral support techniques and an understanding of sensory sensitivities.

· Ability to de-escalate challenging behaviors safely and compassionately.

· Dependable, trustworthy, and capable of maintaining clear communication with caregivers.

· Comfortable with personal care / hygiene assistance for a young adult.

· Reliable attendance, transportation and clean background check.

· References who can speak to your experience with moderate-to-severe autism specifically.

Pay

Competitive, based on experience.
