Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Caregiver to provide dedicated support and assistance to elderly residents with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will create a safe, nurturing environment while assisting with activities of daily living, providing incontinence care, feeding assistance as needed, and general laundry care . Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of residents in care
• Provide attentive hygiene and incontinence care for elderly residents
• Communicate regularly with Medtech and LVN regarding changes in condition of the residents in care
• Encourage behavior management and redirection techniques to encourage positive relationships amongst residents and staff
• Administer basic first aid or CPR in emergency situations while following mandated reporting laws when necessary
• Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes healthy development

Requirements

• Proven experience working with the elderly, disabled, or hospice residents
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; ongoing training is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or special needs compassionately and effectively
• Strong communication skills for resident and family interaction as well as team collaboration
• Experience in assisted living and memory care settings is highly valued
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to elderly safety and welfare
• Must have the ability to pass a Live Scan clearance or have current fingerprint clearance
