Experienced Caregiver (CNA/HHA)

Job Overview

Seeking a CNA or HHA to provide in-home support for an individual in the New Tampa area. Responsibilities include assisting with daily care needs and maintaining a safe, comfortable home environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support mobility and transfers
• Provide companionship and general supervision
• Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks
• Monitor and communicate any changes in condition
• Provide support for memory care needs, if applicable

Skills

• Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition promptly
• Experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes preferred; home & community care experience highly valued
• Knowledge of assisting with ADLs, medication administration, parkinsons, dementia & Alzheimer’s care, memory & hospice care
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
• Familiarity with medical terminology and vital signs monitoring techniques
• Driver's license, Auto Insurance, TB test or physical, Alzheimer's & Dementia, HIV AIDS, BLS or CPR certification required
• Excellent communication skills for working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Compassionate caregiving approach combined with strong organizational skills for managing multiple responsibilities efficiently

Requirements

• Active CNA license or HHA certification (Florida)
• Experience with in-home or facility-based care

AHCA Requirements (Florida Nurse Registry Compliance)

• Eligible for Level 2 background screening through AHCA Clearinghouse
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Valid government-issued ID and Social Security verification
