Caregiver for a Loved One? Get Paid Through the Michigan Home Help Program

If you are helping a parent, grandparent, sibling, adult child, or another eligible loved one with daily living activities, you may be eligible to become their paid caregiver.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with mobility and transfers
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Shopping and errands (when authorized)
• Provide compassionate companionship and support
• Accurately document services provided
• Contingent upon approval by MDHHS*******

Qualifications

• Currently caring for or interested in caring for an eligible loved one
• Must meet Michigan Home Help Program caregiver requirements
• Reliable, dependable, and compassionate
• Ability to complete hiring paperwork and background screening
• Authorized to work in the United States
