HHA/Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/ Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with disabilities, seniors, or individuals requiring assistance due to medical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care while ensuring the comfort and dignity of those they serve.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Help clients with mobility and physical exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Administer medication and assist with medical equipment as needed.
• Provide specialized care for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
• Assist with catheter care and other personal hygiene tasks as required.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence while promoting safety within their home environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in home community care or senior care is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with medical documentation practices and HIPAA compliance is essential.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or providing assisted living services is a plus.
• Knowledge of dementia care techniques and best practices is highly desirable.
• A compassionate demeanor and strong communication skills are critical for success in this role.
