HHA/Caregiver/ PRN/ Full Time/Part Time

Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with varying needs, including seniors and those with disabilities. As a Home Health Aide, you will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and cooking as needed.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping.
• Provide care for clients with specific needs such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or hospice care.
• Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic nursing skills is essential.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required.
• Familiarity with patient observation techniques and vital sign monitoring.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
