Home Health Aide

Job Summary

In the Landrum, sc area. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with specific needs such as dementia or memory care.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Monitor and document client health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medication as prescribed and assist with medical equipment as necessary.
• Support clients with mobility and physical exercises to maintain their physical health.
• Ensure a safe and clean living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.

Skills

• Proficiency in patient care techniques, particularly in senior care settings.
• Experience or training in memory care and dementia care practices is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes related to home health services.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and data protection.
• Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with clients and healthcare professionals.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing client needs.
