Home Health Aide / Caregiver

Job Summary

This position has two shifts available 9am-1pm and 6pm-8pm seven days per week. We will hire more than one caregiver for this position. Must be comfortable working with a cat in the home. We have additional clients and shifts available.

Provide compassionate, personalized support to clients in their homes or care facilities. Assist with daily activities, promote independence, and help maintain clients’ safety, comfort, and dignity. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and comfortable working in a home with a cat.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Use appropriate transfer methods and equipment, such as Hoyer lifts, when needed and within your training.
• Observe clients’ condition, report changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals, and maintain accurate care documentation while protecting confidentiality.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, laundry, light housekeeping, and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, including respectful engagement with clients who have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
• Document care activities accurately to support continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting older adults, people with disabilities, or clients in home care, assisted living, or hospice settings.
• Knowledge of personal care, safe mobility assistance, and client observation.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and healthcare teams and maintain accurate records.
• Compassion, reliability, hands-on caregiving skills, and comfort working in a home with a cat.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 30.0 per week
