Job Overview

As a Home Health Aide and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you’ll provide attentive, respectful care to clients in their homes and communities. You’ll support daily routines, observe changes in condition, and document care clearly while protecting each client’s dignity and privacy. This role may involve work with older adults and people with disabilities, including clients receiving memory, hospice, or end-of-life care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, patient transfers, and safe use of a Hoyer lift when appropriate.
• Observe and report changes in clients’ condition; measure vital signs and document care in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and do laundry to help maintain a safe, comfortable home.
• Communicate respectfully with clients and care teams, maintain medical records, and follow home health regulations and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) confidentiality requirements. Your impact: Consistent, compassionate care helps clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while giving families greater confidence in their loved one’s daily support.

Skills

• Patient care, caregiving, senior care, geriatrics, and experience working with geriatric patients.
• Home health, home care, home healthcare assistance, and home and community care experience; assisted living, nursing home, long-term care, home health agency, or live-in employment experience is helpful.
• Experience with Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory care, hospice, end-of-life care, and individuals with developmental disabilities or other disabilities is valued.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, patient observation, medical documentation, patient confidentiality, and patient transfer methods.
• First aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) or basic life support (BLS) knowledge; ability to handle heavy lifting as required.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
