Job Overview

Hanford Home Health is seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aides (CNAs) to provide in-home, assistive care to EEOICPA (Department of Labor) benefits recipients and other medically complex patients. As a Full Time Home Health Aide, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and in accordance with individualized Plans of Care, agency policies, and applicable Washington State and federal regulations.

Schedule & Shift Structure

  • Full-time status is 36–40 hours per week
  • Full-time staff are primarily scheduled for 12-hour shifts
  • Alternative shift lengths may occur only by mutual agreement
  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Staffing Model

  • Care is primarily one-to-one
  • In limited circumstances, staff may support more than one patient within the same household when authorized by the individualized Plan of Care

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistive, non-skilled care per the Plan of Care and Home Health Aide scope of practice
  • Assist with ADLs and IADLs
  • Measure and document vital signs, intake, and hydration
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse
  • Support safe mobility and delegated exercises
  • Perform light housekeeping and meal assistance as outlined in the Plan of Care
  • Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
  • Complete accurate, timely documentation in the agency-approved electronic health record system
  • Follow infection control, safety, emergency preparedness, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements
  • Report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of vulnerable adults in accordance with Washington State mandatory reporting laws and agency policy
