Responsibilities

• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, assessing symptoms, and reporting changes promptly
• Administer medications and perform basic medical procedures such as catheter care and wound management under supervision
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment
• Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids to assist with patient transfers safely
• Follow all HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all time

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Home Health Aide or in assisted living/nursing home settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and basic life support (CPR/First Aid) certifications required
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely when assisting patients with mobility or transfers
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
