Home Health Aide

Overview

As a Home Health Aide, you’ll provide attentive, respectful care that helps clients remain safe and comfortable at home and in the community. You’ll assist with daily routines, observe changes in well-being, and communicate clearly with clients and care teams. Your impact: By noticing and reporting changes promptly, you help clients and their families make informed care decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, bathing, dressing, transfers, and mobility; use safe patient transfer methods and a Hoyer lift when appropriate.
• Support meal preparation, cooking, laundry, light cleaning, and other agreed-upon home care tasks.
• Observe clients, take vital signs as assigned, document care in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Follow care plans and applicable home healthcare regulations; provide medication assistance only as authorized and within scope.
• Protect patient confidentiality under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and follow first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and basic life support (BLS) procedures as applicable.

Experience

• Patient care, caregiving, home health care assistance, or home health agency experience is valuable; home and community care, assisted living, nursing home, long-term care, senior care, or live-in experience is also relevant.
• Experience with geriatric patients, geriatrics, Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory care, hospice, end-of-life care, or individuals with developmental disabilities or other disabilities is helpful.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, catheter care, medical documentation, and medication administration is preferred.
• First aid and CPR or BLS knowledge is preferred. The role may involve lifting and supporting client mobility; follow safe handling practices.

THIS CASE IS MONDAY-SATURDAY 9A-1P. FEMALE CAREGIVER PREFFERED. SHE WILL NEED HELP WITH SHOWER ASSISSTANCE, HOUSEKEEPING, MEAL PREP AND SOMETIMES ERRANDS. LOOKING TO HIRE ASAP. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND CHECK.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
