DUTIES OF POSITION: The Hospice Aide Supervisor partners with the Director of Clinical Services to lead and manage the Hospice Aide Team. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care by overseeing the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of hospice services, in alignment with agency policies, procedures, and goals.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES

  • Provide supervision and guidance to clinical staff to ensure the quality of services and maintenance of standards.
  • Manage daily schedule; including updating the excel spreadsheet and Wellsky scheduler
  • Assist with New Employee Orientation and in-field training.
  • Participate with hiring, terminations, and other staff related items.
  • Perform joint visits for new hires (biweekly) and for annual reviews.
  • Assist with troubleshooting operational issues/challenges.
  • Update the census daily and update the map weekly.
  • Approve CNA timecards on a biweekly basis.
  • Review and follow up on missing clock-ins/clock-outs on a weekly basis
  • Follow-up on completion of missing charting (after the Quality Team has identified what is missing)
  • Update and help maintain HA Task Lists (after initials and updates are needed).
  • Assist with Annual Reviews
  • Minor Education/ Warnings (i.e. late charting and monthly education).
  • Appraise clinical staff performance during their probationary period and annually, provides the teaching and counseling necessary to enhance the delivery of services and the professional development of nursing and health aide staff.
  • Perform “Quality Visits” to ensure care provided meets “Noble Standards”.
  • Assisting with employee concerns when needed.
  • Perform personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, etc.) according to the Hospice Aide Plan of Care when needed.
