Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and overall health status regularly to ensure safety and well-being
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
• Support clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or developmental disabilities through specialized memory and behavioral care techniques
• Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers safely using proper techniques
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
• Observe and report any changes in health or behavior promptly to healthcare professionals or family members

Experience

• Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings preferred
• Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required
• Hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges such as autism or dementia is highly valued
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is essential; additional certifications like HIPAA compliance are advantageous
