In Home Caregiver

Overview

*In-Home Caregiver for elderly/disabled male in Elizabethton, Tennessee. He is a smoker with no pets.* *20 hours* *a week (5 hours daily on Mon, Tues, Wednesday, and Friday.) Position requires assisting elderly/disabled with compassionate care including showers, dressing, bathroom needs, medication reminders, shaving, housekeeping, cooking, laundry, and occasional errands. Will need to take him to the doctor occasionally in Elizabethton or Johnson City. Caregiver will need to have access to a vehicle with current Drivers License and car insurance. Also have another opening for a female smoker with no pets for* *12 hours* *a week with similar needs. Experienced caregivers are encouraged to apply but we will train the right person who has no experience. Join our family owned company and make a meaningful difference inn the lives of others. We do not work any major holidays. We assign our caregivers consistent schedules the same individuals with no short shifts when possible. 90 day review for pay increase eligibility.*

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Provide medication reminders
• Support clients in maintaining a safe and clean living environment, including light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
• Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations.

Skills

• Prefer an experienced caregiver but will train the right person
• Prefer someone experienced with cooking and housekeeping but will train the right person
• Caregiver MUST be compassionate and enjoy working with the elderly.

Pay: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour
