In-Home Caregiver

Americare Twin Cities North is seeking a compassionate caregiver to make a meaningful difference in our clients' lives. In this role, you'll provide personal care, companionship, and support — ensuring every individual feels respected and dignified.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Provide standby assistance
• Prepare meals and assist clients with feeding.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided.
• Monitor and report any changes in the client’s physical or emotional health to family members or healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields, such as home/community care or assisted living, is preferred.
• Familiarity with memory care techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of care plans and their implementation is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy when interacting with clients.
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• CPR or First Aid certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass background checks as mandated by state regulations.
• Must be over 21 years of age
