In Home Caregiver

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as required
• Support medication reminders following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
• Document patient progress, care activities, and observations meticulously in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and engaging environment that promotes mental well-being

Requirements

• Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, and dementia, ; experience in group homes or assisted living settings is highly valued
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication management, vital signs monitoring, and care planning procedures
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and assisting with mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients’ families, healthcare teams, and social workers
