In Home Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.
• Monitor patient health by observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals.
• Support residents with mobility using manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods.
• Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy.
• Facilitate transportation for appointments or errands and assist with community engagement activities as needed.

Experience

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and implement care plans effectively.
• Knowledge of dementia care, memory care strategies, hospice care principles, and Alzheimer's care techniques.
• Proficiency in patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and safe manual handling practices.
• Familiarity with medication reminder protocols and first aid/CPR certification is essential.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration while maintaining residents’ rights and dignity at all times.
