Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering assistance with daily activities, emotional support, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have experience working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
• Offer companionship through engaging conversations, activities, and social interaction.
• Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition or behavior, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Support clients with dementia care, ensuring a safe and comforting environment.
• Maintain cleanliness in the living space and assist with light housekeeping tasks.
• Facilitate communication between clients and their families or healthcare providers.
• Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including those for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
• Strong skills in patient observation and reporting.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
• Familiarity with CPR techniques is desirable.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is advantageous.
• A compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team dedicated to providing high-quality care.
