Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant

Duties

• Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support individuals with mobility needs using manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to ensure health stability
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols under supervision or as trained
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
• Engage residents in social activities, companionship, and behavioral management to promote mental well-being
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and laundry
• Document care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like medication administration or behavior management are a plus
