Kind caregiver for 95 year old woman

We are Looking for a caregiver in the Howard City area to care for a 95 year old with memory issues and needs help with daily routines, including meal prep, social activities, shopping, medication reminders, cleaning, companionship, and driving to appointments. This would include staying with her two nights a week and helping her with all daily living skills. She is ambulatory, but has a difficult time getting dressed and taking care of herself . She is also just delightful. Looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience working with older people who is reliable, friendly, and engaging. Working with memory issues a plus. Hours would be Sunday at 8 AM until Monday at 6 PM and then Wednesday at 8 AM until Thursday at 6 PM. This includes to sleepovers, but she generally sleeps all night.Please contact me for more information.

Responsibilities

• Help take prescribed medication
• Assist with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene such as dressing and showers
• Help with walking activities
• Plan and prepare meals
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Skills

• at least 10 years Proven experience as a caregiver
• Enjoy working with dementia, patients and their challenges and beauty.
• RELIABLE!
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

• High school diploma or equivalent

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Shift availability

• Day Shift (Preferred)
