About the Role

Caring Hands Home Health & Rehab is seeking a compassionate and reliable Live-In or Stay-in Home Caregiver to support a client in Peru, LaSalle, Mendota, or Ottawa, Illinois (LaSalle County).

This is an extended stay-in home position, meaning caregivers remain in the client's home for multiple days at a time, including overnight, before rotating off. (4days Stay-in on Weekdays or 3days Stay-in on Weekends)

If you prefer consistent hours, fewer daily commutes, and meaningful one-on-one care, this is an excellent opportunity.

What "Live-In" Means

• Stay in the client's home for usually multiple consecutive days
• Provide support during the day and be present at the home overnight
• Sleep accommodations are provided (private room)

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Ensure client safety and comfort

Compensation & Perks

• $180 per day
• Mileage reimbursement plan (if you drive)
• Consistent, stable scheduling (Weekdays or Weekends)
• One-on-one care environment (no facility burnout)

Additional Opportunities

While this position is based in general Live-in cases, Caring Hands regularly has additional caregiver opportunities throughout the surrounding areas for those interested in picking up extra shifts or future placements.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience required
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient
• Ability to commit to live-in scheduling
• Valid driver's license preferred but not required
