Job Summary

As an In-Home Caregiver/Personal Care Aide, you’ll provide respectful, hands-on support that helps clients maintain comfort, safety, and independence at home and in the community. You’ll assist with daily routines, prepare meals, observe changes in well-being, and communicate clearly with clients and care teams. Your impact: By following care plans and promptly sharing observations, you help clients and their families make informed decisions and support continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, transfers, and manual handling; use a Hoyer lift when trained and appropriate.
• Support medication administration as authorized, monitor clients, observe and report changes, and record vital signs as directed.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Deliver compassionate care for older adults and people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory-care needs, hospice needs, autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and other disabilities.
• Protect privacy, follow the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), respect residents’ rights, and use first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills when needed.

Requirements

• Patient care, caregiving, direct support, client communication, and experience assisting with ADLs.
• Knowledge of patient observation, patient monitoring, care plans, patient transfer methods, heavy lifting, and safe manual handling.
• First aid and CPR; nursing or medication administration experience is helpful where relevant to the role.
• Home care, home health, home and community care, or personal care experience is valuable.
• Group home, assisted living, nursing home, long-term care, senior care, geriatrics, or hospice experience is preferred, as is experience supporting people with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, developmental disabilities, or intellectual disabilities.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
