Part-time caregiver for elderly woman

Job Summary

I am needing a part-time caregiver for my mother 1 to 2 hours in the morning and possibly 1 to 2 hours again in the evening. Starting out at least Monday, Wednesday and Friday may possibly need to add more days. Later.

Things have been changing a lot.

I need help with getting her changed in the mornings and situated for the day. She is close to being completely bedbound. Also, now she’s needing help with being fed and keeping her room clean.

I do Not need help with bathing I have someone else to do that twice a week.

Must Be non-smoking,  able to pass a background check and have references.

Must also be able to interview and start immediately within 1 to 2 days. 

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, mobility, transfers, and meal preparation.
• Prepare simple meals Only sometimes.
• Monitor well-being, observe changes, and communicate relevant updates while respecting privacy and resident’s rights.

Skills

• Essential: Patient care, caregiving, senior care, client communication, patient observation and monitoring, assisting with ADLs, cooking, cleaning, and meal preparation.
• Preferred: Home care, home health, home and community care, assisted living, group home, nursing home, hospice, or long-term care experience; geriatrics, dementia, Alzheimer’s, or memory care.
• Helpful background: Direct support, nursing, intellectual or developmental disabilities, autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, or disability support.
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), vital signs, medication administration, patient personal care assistance, patient transfer methods, and heavy lifting experience are valued; follow applicable training and authorization requirements.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
