PCA/Caregiver

Overview

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate and supportive care to individuals in her personal care homes. This position is essential for enhancing the quality of life for requiring assistance with daily activities. The PCA will work closely with clients to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide medication administration as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
• Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Document client progress
• Foster a supportive relationship with clients to encourage emotional well-being and social interaction.

Skills

• Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle various client needs and situations.
• Ability to assist clients with ADLs while promoting their dignity and independence.
• A valid driver's license for transportation purposes when required.
• Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
• This role requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about providing high-quality personal care while ensuring the comfort and dignity of those they serve.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
