PCA/CNA

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for a companionship case in Tappahannock, VA. We are preferably seeking a male companion to provide companionship, promote safety, and encourage participation in daily activities for a client living with dementia.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and social engagement.
• Create and maintain a safe, supportive environment.
• Encourage participation in daily activities and hobbies.
• Accompany the client to medical appointments.
• Assist with running errands and community outings.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Observe and report any changes in the client's condition.
• Complete daily care notes accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with family members and the care team.
• Follow the client's individualized care plan while promoting dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease required.
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and trustworthy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
