Duties

  • Assist pediatric patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times
  • Monitor vital signs and observe changes in patient conditions, promptly reporting any concerns to nursing staff
  • Support medical procedures by preparing supplies, maintaining aseptic technique, and assisting with equipment like Hoyer lifts or pediatric IV setups
  • Document patient care activities accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, adhering to HIPAA regulations
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to children and their families, fostering a caring environment that encourages trust and cooperation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care tailored to each child's needs

Qualifications

  • Valid Pediatric Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from an accredited program
  • Experience working with children in settings such as hospitals, clinics, assisted living facilities, or home care environments
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation
  • Experience with specialized pediatric procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, or use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts
