Responsibilities

• Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
• Support medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental wellness
• Help with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control standards
• Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate updates to healthcare teams
• Support residents with dementia or memory care needs through specialized behavior management techniques
• Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers
• Follow all safety procedures including first aid protocols and emergency response plans

Skills

• Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home & community care environments
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
