Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, noting changes in condition, and reporting findings to nursing staff or supervisors promptly.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist residents during meal times to promote proper nutrition.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry services, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
• Observe residents’ behaviors and communicate any concerns related to dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other developmental disabilities to the care team.
• Support residents’ emotional well-being through active engagement, companionship, and participation in social activities within the community or home setting.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks while maintaining proper body mechanics.
