Personal Care Aide

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties

As a Personal Care Aide, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Monitoring and documenting vital signs and changes in client health status.
• Preparing meals and assisting with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
• Performing light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring adherence to care plans.
• Utilizing assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts when necessary for patient mobility.
• Supporting clients with memory care, including those with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Engaging clients in social activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in home health, senior care, or long-term care settings.
• Familiarity with patient observation techniques and caregiving best practices.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
