Part-Time Companion Caregiver (Flexible Hours, Room to Grow)

UptownDallas, TX Schedule: 3 days per week, 4 hours per day, with hours likely to increase Pay: $17-$19 per hour, based on experience, paid weekly

About the Role

We're looking for a friendly, polished, and reliable caregiver to provide companionship and personal assistance to an adult client. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys conversation, loves sports, and takes pride in being dependable and professional.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging companionship, including watching football and other sports and talking about them
• Assist with dressing and other daily personal care needs
• Drive the client to appointments, the country club, and outings in the client's vehicle
• Accompany the client on occasional trips (accommodations provided)
• Assist the client with transfers and mobility using a gait belt, and help them up safely if they fall
• Keep detailed, accurate documentation of each visit

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and comfort driving a client
• Physically able to lift up to 200 pounds, including assisting with a fallen client who cannot help themselves
• Prior experience with safe patient transfer and lifting techniques, including gait belt use
• Comfort with hands-on personal care, including help with dressing
• Well-educated, articulate, and able to hold intelligent, enjoyable conversations
• Knowledge of and genuine interest in sports
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Positive, upbeat, personable, and well-mannered, with polished conduct in settings such as a country club
• Dependable, punctual, and discreet
